Lost
Sari and Alyssa(5) were lost last night for over an hour. We walked to Lisa's house so Sari and Kate could play outside with all the other kids. When 5 o'clock rolled around I started looking for Sari and couldn't find her. I called for her and Alyssa into Lisa's house, went in and looked downstairs and asked Jeffrey (only 3) if the girls were in there. He said no. Then Lisa joined in the hunt and we checked 6 or so neighborhood houses where they could have gone in to play. No sign of them. We really started to get worried. Lisa's husband got home from work and went inside. We asked him if the girls were inside the house and he said they weren't. Then we got in the car and started searching. After about 50 minutes Alan called the police to report them missing. I could not figure out where they would have gone. We drove around the neighborhood, checked the two nearest parks to no avail. Then Alan called back. He found the girls, , safe in Alyssa's room. What a relief. The first couple times we looked for them in the house they were in the master bathroom in the back of the house. Every time they heard someone looking for them they got in the tub, behind the shower curtain to hide. Those kids. They were painting their nails and playing in Lisa's makeup. They sure caused some serious stress. Now that I've experienced losing a child I'll check that off my list and hopefully never have to do it again.

How frustrating! Emma does that to me sometimes where she hides really quietly in some closet and it drives me crazy. I'm glad they were ok.
WOW! I am so glad that you found them safe! I sure don't want to have to go through that....ever!!!!
