Lucy smiled at me for the first time on Wednesday. I've been meaning to blog since then, and now is the first chance I've had. I haven't tried to capture it in a photo yet. Actually, it just occurred to me that I should try. :)

Every day when Leah wakes up for the day or after a nap, the first thing she does is search for Lucy. Usually in the morning Lucy is laying in bed next to me since I'm still trying to catch a few more minutes of sleep. Leah comes running into my room and checks the cradle first, then the bassinet, then she tries to look on my bed. I usually try to hide Lucy by tenting the covers over her, but that only works for a minute because Leah climbs onto the bed and I'm afraid she'll step on the baby. Leah is SO loud and rambunctious when she finds Lucy. She squeals, screams, and talks to her in a loud, high pitched voice. It is quite the wake-up for Lucy and I every morning!

Sophie does this to us every morning as well. She thinks she should jump on our bed the minute she is awake, but I hate it when she wakes Tessa, I guess it won't matter as much when school starts and my days of sleeping in are over.
