Kate's Five!

Luckily, Kate was feeling pretty good for her birthday.  I was worried she'd still be sick.  We let her open her presents from us in the morning before Scott went to work. My parents came from Utah to visit us so I took the kids to their hotel to swim in the morning.  It was a lot of fun.  I really like to swim and so do all of the kids.  Even Lucy lasts several hours in the water.  We went to Red Robin for dinner and Kate got an ice cream sunday.  She loved it and made us all wait while she ate all of it, but was embarrased when the waiters sang to her.  That night we invited her aunts and uncles and cousins over for 'cake' (fruit pizza).  She had a fun birthday.  I was glad she didn't get too overwhelmed with all the people and attention at her party, but she did fine.

At 5 years old Kate:

Loves sweets, chocolate milk, and is generally a really good eater.
She loves one on one time.
She REALLY loves Lucy and I can't keep her from carrying her all over the place.  She is getting better at obeying me when I ask her not to carry her up and down the stairs.
She likes to play babies with Leah.
She loves to sing and loves when everyone gathers to sing hymns together.  She makes us help her find the song in the hymn book and tries her best to sing along.
She loves playing with Brooklyn and Camden.
She can be very helpful.  She is good at sweeping.
