Disneyland Vacation (Oct. 14-20)

We got to go to Disneyland!  I love vacations, and I love Disneyland.  It was a lot more crowded this time though.  I really love Disneyland when it isn't crowded.  I tried to plan around Utah's fall break off of school, but made the mistake of only looking at the Alpine school district instead of the districts in the Salt Lake and St. George areas.  Oops.  There were tons of people from there at Disneyland.  We still managed to have fun.  :)  My parents met us there or we wouldn't have been able to do it.  The kids were a handful for sure, so we were so happy they could join us.
Sitting on Main Street in Disneyland waiting for a parade to start.
We went to California Adventure on Monday, Disneyland on Tuesday, Huntington beach on Wednesday, Disneyland/California Adventure on Thursday, and Sea World on Friday.  We flew into Los Angeles on Sunday and flew out on Saturday. (We also made my parents miss their flight because of miscalculated travel time to the airport and dropping off rental van, etc. Luckily, they made the next flight a couple hours later.)

Beach Pictures!

I had more fun at the beach this time than the recent times I remember.  The past few times we've gone to the beach, it has been in the spring and too cold to really enjoy it.  We rented some boogie boards and the waves were big and really fun.  I was able to boogie board with Scott for a while since my parents were there with us too.  The kids really liked the beach too.  There was a lot less whining while we were at the beach verses when we were in one of the parks.  It was nice and relaxing and a good way to break up our days in the parks.  I think the high that day was over 90.  It was unseasonably warm in Anaheim while we were there.  On Tuesday at Disneyland we were all pretty hot, the other days were a bit too warm too.
Scott and I with Sari and Kate on the Tower of Terror.  Sari really likes the ride and Kate claims to, but I'm not so sure about that.
Kate really wanted to see Rapunzel(especially her hair)  and Leah was excited too.  Sari must be getting a bit too old for meeting princesses because after meeting three princesses she didn't want to meet another.  They got to meet Flynn Rider(I think that's his name) too.
 Sea World
Sea World was really fun.  It was only open from 10am-5pm though.  We saw almost all the shows and made it to about half the exhibits.  It wasn't enough time.  It felt like we were rushing from thing to thing all day.  It would have been nice to sit and enjoy the different animal exhibits a bit longer.  The kids got to feed some otters, hold star fish, pet sting rays, see dolphins up close, etc., so it was worth while, but we didn't ever get to stay in one place for very long.
Star fish!  I think Leah and Kate tortured the poor things.  Hopefully they are pretty tough since they let people touch them.
