April in Cell Phone Pictures

The girls have been quite the audience for a big array of people.  Here they are watching Dan grade our lot.  They have also watched our cement pad by our back garage door be jackhammered up and a new one formed and poured.  They watched the AC guy come put our AC in.  They watched the Directv guy and Optimum guy hook up our television and Internet.  They watched a guy come put all the screens in our windows.  I try to keep them out of their way, but they really like to be right there watching everything and sometimes believing they are being really sneaky while they watch.

 

We went and visited their cousin's chicks and now chickens several times in April.  They sure grow fast!

April was a long, cold, windy, snowy month.  This is one of the few nice days the girls are taking advantage of.

Leah has been entertaining herself with a lot of painting, coloring, cutting, and playing play dough lately.  She really loves to sit and create.  It reminds me of Sari at the same age.

Leah has also been having a little middle child syndrome lately.  Anytime she finds out about something Sari and Kate both have that she doesn't, she really thinks it's unfair.  She especially thought it was unjust that Lucy got a "peeping" chick for Easter and that Sari and Kate had previously received "peeping" chicks for Easter so she was the only one without one.  I told Grandma Pack about it and she was quick to resolve the injustice.  :)  Leah seems to be getting a little better and is starting to grasp that every kid isn't going to have it all.

One Sunday in the middle of April we were at Scott's mom's home for dinner and our car was parked on the side of the road in front of her house.  Scott was singing in a fireside that night so when he went outside to get into the car this is what he found:

Some lame person hit our car and just left.  You can't really tell from the picture, but it damaged every panel up the entire driver side.  It was totalled so we paid our deductible and got the market value minus the salvage value from our insurance.  We ended up getting $2050 for it.  Now we are trying to decide if we should try to fix that back part that is really bad or if we should just try to pop it out and spray paint it or what.  I think it will end up just staying like it is until the car doesn't run anymore.  We are so busy with other stuff right now that is at the bottom of our priority list.  It still drives so that's good.
