On August 13th, I took the kids to the carnival rides at the fair with all their cousins. It wasn't as hot this year as last, so that was a big plus. Brooklyn didn't make it out unscathed though, she ended up with stitches in her cheek from a raw piece of metal on one of the railings. Poor Brooklyn also was still recovering from a broken arm from earlier in the summer.
