Utah Trip!

We made a quick trip to Utah before the girls started school this week.  We left on Thursday and came back Monday.  The kids were not good travelers on this trip.  Well, all except for Lucy.  She was happy and good on both drives.  The other girls were pretty whiny and loud and a bit obnoxious, particularly on the way home.  I don't know if it was because they were anxious about school starting or our trip was too short or what.
Scott found a snail in my parent's yard when he was doing some yard work.  The kids all still love a good bug.

Sunday morning we made these special pancakes.  They were pretty fancy.  We had four colors and tested the creativity of grandma and mom.  I think the kids ate two or three times their normal amount of pancakes because the colorful designs were more fun and they just kept eating!

Kristin's blood pressure went too high and she was getting preeclampsia so she was induced to have her baby on Friday morning at 2am.  She was only 34 weeks along.  Lynden only weighed 3lbs 12oz and was 16 inches long.  She has done amazingly well considering how small she was.  She hasn't needed oxygen and hasn't had any complications.  She does have an NG tube for feedings until she gets a bit bigger and can eat well on her own.  She'll be in the NICU for a while, maybe 3 weeks?  I'll have to update how long she spent there once she's released.  Kristin did really well after having her too.  It would have been better for Kristin to be pregnant for at least a couple more weeks, but it was fun to be there when she delivered her.

She's only 12 hours old in this picture.

Scott worked on the Daybreak subdivision design a lot while we were there visiting.  One night he stayed up all night!  It was really rainy the whole time and for our family pictures it was pouring.  I still haven't seen them so hopefully some turned out cute.
This was our first time visiting since my parents moved into their new home.  It was really nice!  I really like their floor plan and all the finish work they picked out.  It was really pretty.  The extra space was super nice too!
