Daily Life - October Edition

We went to The Grand Escape Room for a date one night.  It was pretty fun.  I'd like to do it again, now that we have a better idea of how it goes.  We made it out of the room in 45 minutes 29 seconds.  Scott was really bugged that the girl who wrote the sign did her math wrong and gave us an extra minute.  We went to Spinners for frozen yogurt after.
Ian's new buddy, "Papa Bear."  He's a good reading buddy.  When I read to Ian at night I have to move the bear out of the chair and then he insists I put him back before he'll settle down in his crib to go to sleep.
Ian is usually a really good sleeper.  This night, however, he was not.  He was awake crying and whining at me for almost 3 full hours.  It was torture!  After a while he would stop crying as long as I was tickling his back, but when I'd fall asleep he'd wake me up again crying.  Whew, it's good he isn't a colicky newborn anymore.  I like my sleep.
Sari, Kate, and Leah played soccer this fall.  They all were lucky and got on teams with their friends.  Leah and Angelica were on the same team but Jelly had to stop playing after a few weeks because of her broken arm.  Leah surprised me and was a pretty good aggressive little player.  I wouldn't have predicted that!  She runs a lot with her tongue out.  Cute girl.

I got to go on Lucy's field trip to the pumpkin patch at Grandpa's Farm.  It is always nice to see how the teacher interacts with her class and to make one of my kids happy by being there for a school function!  They each got to choose a pumpkin to bring home.  Ian really liked Lucy's and carried it around and used it as a bench for days after she got it.
