Lisa and I met up with Kim and Jill at the trailhead around 6 or 7pm. I can't remember the exact time anymore. Anyhow I think we thought we'd be done hiking by 9:30 or so, but it actually took a lot longer. We got back to the cars at nearly midnight! It was fun though except for the bugs that buzzed in your face when you turned your head lamp on. We saw a rattle snake, a garter snake, and passed a guy who had recently seen a black bear. We weren't too excited about the prospect of running into the bear but we never saw a sign of it. Once again, so much fun!
