Top Of Utah Half Marathon - COMPLETED

Around 6:30am before the race! We all still look nice and fresh!

Scott tried to take a picture with our old point and shoot of Sara and I running in. We were still pretty far away so I had to zoom in super far, , that's why the picture is so grainy! I'm on the far left and Sara is on the far right. This picture was taken right after we crossed the finish line. You can tell we are still breathing quite hard! We're still trying to catch our breath while posing for the picture. More after the race shots

I was a little worried about being able to run the whole thing because my knees have been hurting me a lot on our long training runs. Today they felt great. I was so happy and couldn't believe that they never hurt until my short sprint at the end of the race. I wanted to run it in 2 hours 22 minutes for a 'cool' time and thought that was doable. I ended up getting 2 hours 16min 50 sec, I was quite happy with that! That is an average of a little less than 10 minute 30 second miles for the 13.1 miles.
Scott did better than he thought too at 1 hour 55 minutes 30 seconds.

Becky, that is so awesome. Good job. Can you come to Emery county and train me now? =)

YEAH!!! Good job Becky...what an accomplishment. It looks like you had a good time. Your salsa looks fabulous! Isn't that the best reward when you can use all of your own home-grown things. I love gardens.
