Leah's Blessing

Leah was blessed on January 3rd, while we were visiting family in Billings. If Scott and I look a little tired in this picture there is good reason. We slept about 2 hours the night before. We actually got to bed around midnight (which was early compared to the other nights we were there) but Leah didn't give up and go to sleep until about 1:30am. At last Scott and I had fallen asleep when Kate woke me up 15 minutes later because she was sick throwing up. Scott was very nice to clean everything up while I stayed with Kate with a bucket for the next 2 hours. Finally we were able to sleep a couple of hours, but I kept worrying about what we were going to do about the blessing.

We decided to get ready for church because Scott's sister, Lana, said she'd stay home with Kate if we thought she wouldn't make it through Sacrament Meeting. Luckily when Kate woke up she seemed ok enough to make it to church. It was a little hectic once we got there. Leah was really fussy and crying. She decided she wanted to eat after less than 2 hours. I only had literally 4 minutes to try and feed her in the foyer, , and of course the missionaries walk in and sit down across from me right when I started feeding her. Oh well, everything turned out fine. Leah screamed through the first half of her blessing but you could still hear Scott just fine giving the blessing. I always was afraid about one of my babies crying during their blessing, but really it wasn't too bad. Kate sat in the foyer most of the time after that with Scott and we went back to Scott's mom's home after sacrament meeting to take naps.

Nice bloodshot eyes, eh?

Unfortunately we didn't get pictures with more of the family since we came home early and I took Leah out of her dress.

Leah is so pretty in that dress! Blessing dresses are so beautiful...I love little girls for that! Too bad it wasn't a smooth blessing day...but they always seem to work out in the end.

So, is there always a throw-up drama when you visit Billings? It seems like this has happened before. What a mess--I'm so sorry.

Everyone still looks great. I am glad you made it through!
