Everyday Enjoyment

I love to kiss Leah's chubby cheeks. I just love to squeeze and squish her and kiss those cheeks all day long.I love talking to Kate. She is so fun to listen to and says everything using such cute inflections in her voice. She is also very mindful about thanking me for things. She says, "Thank you, Mom!" so sweetly. The other day she noticed I had cleaned the toilet. "Did you clean the toilet, mom?" I told her yes. "Thank you! That was so nice of you!" she told me. How often do you get a reward like that for cleaning the bathroom? Also, every night before I close Kate's door at bedtime she asks me if crocodiles bite. I love seeing all the drawings and crafts Sari comes up with during the day and how excited she is to show them to us. Last week I was upstairs doing my hair when Sari came running to show me what she had made. "Look mom! I made a snowflake!" Sure enough, she was carrying a paper snowflake. I asked her how she knew how to make snowflakes. (I hadn't taught her and I knew Scott hadn't either.) Caillou taught me! Caillou is one of the kid shows she watches in the morning while I shower and get ready.

Last week she also made paper canoes, drawings of Scott and I, and a drawing of a pig with chicken pox.

Have you ever noticed that when you leave Costco and they check your receipt most of the people write a smiley face on it? Occasionally though, there is a person that just makes a line down the receipt. About a year ago, Sari noticed that the lady at the door put a line down the receipt instead of a smiley face. She asked me why? We had been having a lot of trouble keeping Sari in bed at night, so I told her the lady knew she didn't stay in her own bed all night. Ever since then Sari checks the receipt and usually we get smiley faces and she is so excited to tell me that the Costco person knew she stayed in her bed all night!
