Leah turned 4 months old on Saturday. She isn't my newborn anymore for sure. She has started enjoying her sisters more and has discovered the joy of chewing on toys lately. About every other or every third day she'll have a hard day. Yesterday was one of those days. My neck and shoulders are so sore today from wearing her in the baby sling or in the baby Bjorn all day long. She was thoroughly entertained in the Bjorn yesterday afternoon while I was cooking dinner. She watched everything I was doing so carefully, she thought I was putting on a show just for her.

Leah still sleeps in the swing for naps and at night. We finished painting Sari and Kate's room Saturday and just got all their furniture moved in, so Leah will be moving to her new room in her own crib any day now. I just have to decide when I'm willing to let her cry herself to sleep, because I'm definitely not a rock-your-baby-to-sleep-every-night kind of mom. I think it is a beautiful thing to teach your baby to put
themself to sleep. For all of you that love to rock your baby to sleep - my kids are jealous. :)

Leah loves having something touching her face while she falls asleep. I always have to check on her after she goes to sleep so I can move the burp cloth, blanket, etc. away from her nose.

You know, I'm not that rock your baby to sleep kind of mom either. Do you want to teach your kid that kind of dependence? I think it's great to teach them that a little balance is good for everyone!
I am so glad to hear that I am not the only mom who lets their little one cry at night. Who has time to rock their baby to sleep every single night. Good luck though it can be very trying the first few weeks.
