Happy Birthday Kate!

Kate was so excited for her birthday party! I asked her what kind of cake she wanted and she told me a chocolate Dora cake. She has been talking about getting a chocolate Dora cake for weeks. Kate was sure to point out to everyone at the party, that I wasn't able to find Isa or Swiper for the cake, just Dora and Benny. I did put Crocodile Lake and pink flowers on it as well, which Kate approved of.

She reacted so cute to all of her presents. She was so excited for everything. Tonight we are going to Chuck-E-Cheese. We've never taken the kids there before so we'll have to see how they like it. Kate got a Dora bedtime doll and an etch-a-sketch from her Grandma and Grandpa Pack, a color wonder Dora book and Dora house/figurine from Aunt Kristin, and a purse, Belle figurine, hello kitty bandaides, and princess sidewalk chalk from her cousins.
Today Scott and I gave her a helmet to go with a bike we fixed up for her. She was a little nervous about the bike, , she's used to being closer to the ground on her big wheel. We weren't outside very long practicing because it's so cold! When I was pregnant with Kate, I remember taking Sari over to the neighbor's house to play in the sprinklers. It was only a couple of days before I had her, I sure wish the weather were like that now.
We also got her a three lane slip and slide (hopefully it gets warm enough to try it out before she forgets that is what she got for her birthday), and some accessories for the doll house Santa brought the girls for Christmas.

Last (and about a week late) but not least:
Leah is 6 Months Old!
Leah is 6 months old and teething with a vengeance. She didn't sleep well last night and got up this morning at 6:30am. My kids don't get up before 7:30 - especially my babies. I did not enjoy the early morning, I go to bed way too late for that. She sits up on her own pretty well now and when she is on her stomach she has started to get up on her hands and knees. It won't be long until I have a mobile baby on my hands. Time goes by so quickly! Now if only this tooth will break through soon so we can have some relief!

note: I wrote this post quickly while holding a crying Leah, and I'm not taking the time to read back through it. Hopefully it all makes sense!
