Christmas Tree Hunting

We went to visit Scott's family in Montana over Thanksgiving. Every year they go to the mountains to find and cut down the perfect Christmas tree. I was worried it would be freezing cold but it turned out to be perfect weather. Spending time in the snow with kids is something like this: Walk 10 feet, stop to readjust mittens; walk 6 feet, stop to put boot back on; walk 3 feet, get snow out of mitten; walk 6 feet, stop and..... :)

We had a great time visiting. The drive there was a little long - we had to take the Wyoming route because of roads closed in Idaho. At one rest stop in Wyoming it was -5 degrees when we got out to use the bathroom. It takes way too long to get three kids out of a car when it is that cold outside! We made it in 12 hours though. Luckily the drive home only took 10.
