Are we finally over it?

This has been the longest, most miserable stretch of illness I've ever experienced.  Kate and I caught the awful bug that Leah and Sari had and it was so miserable.  It was bad enough when the kids had it but I couldn't imagine how painful the stomach ache was before I experienced it.  At least I never threw up, but it would have been worth it if it helped my stomach.  I started with a tolerable stomach ache Thursday night.  It was bad enough to wake me in the night but I was able to go back to sleep.  It kept getting a little worse until it was nearly unbearable Sunday evening.  I never had a break from it and the pain peaked during the night Wednesday when it kept me from sleeping half the night.  I went to the doctor Thursday morning.  I hate going to the doctor, it takes so long and half the time it feels like you went for no reason.  He did blood work and everything came back normal so he ended up giving me a medicine to coat my stomach.  I wasn't able to get the prescription until Thursday night but after taking it for 3 days, I finally feel better.  It was a loooong 10 days.  It feels so wonderful to not have constant intense stomach pain!  It also is wonderful not to have any of the kids feeling that pain and throwing up.  Kate's seemed less painful for her than mine, she was always able to sleep during the night and seemed ok in the morning and early afternoon.  She would usually get nauseated in the later afternoon and usually throw up and then she'd sleep for 2 hours and wake up feeling a little better.  This is the strangest illness, the doctors we went to didn't see to know what to make of it.  I hope to never experience this again!  I feel like I finally can get busy taking care of all the loose ends that come from moving.
