Kate's Birthday!

I figured I better hurry and post about Kate's birthday before May is over!  Kate's birthday was on Saturday this year and it was also the Montana Womens Run that day.  I went and ran the 5 mile race with Marlayne and her girls.  We ran it in 45minutes 28seconds - just over 9 minute miles for the entire 5 miles.  I was really surprised and happy I could maintain that pace for 5 miles.  Back to Kate's birthday - when I got home she opened her presents from us and Grandma and Grandpa Pack.  This large present is from them- it was a beanbag. 

 

We threw Kate a friend party this year.  She was super excited to have her friends over.  We just invited girls and had a Hello Kitty theme. 

 We played a few games and had a coloring contest.  Scott was busy outside grading our lot so he was no help.  Luckily Jill stayed and helped me or I really would have been in trouble.  That's a lot of excited girls to manage alone.  Leah wanted to win the games and wasn't so she threw a few fits.  She is definitely at the wonderful age of 3!  She does LOVE to play with Kate.  Leah meets Kate at the door when she comes home from school and tries to get Kate to play all her favorite pretend games.  Sometimes Kate indulges her and sometimes Kate doesn't.  The afternoons are a lot better when Kate is in the mood to humor Leah.
