At my appointment a week ago, the billing lady called me into the consultation room and asked me if I knew that St. Vincent Hospital (the only hospital my doctor can deliver at) is out of network on my insurance. I was shocked to say the least. I knew I had called and asked my insurance about the doctor and I thought I had found out about the hospital too, but apparently I didn't. Of course I started crying, because any stressful thing having to do with insurance or money makes me cry especially when I'm pregnant. It was an annoying week of a million phone calls getting everything figured out, but I ended up switching doctors, from Dr. Neuhoff to Dr. Harris. I had my first appointment with him yesterday and he was very nice and his nurse and staff are really nice too. He even let me schedule an induction for Nov. 7th. I don't get to go in until 5pm though, because he isn't on call until 7pm so he doesn't want me to deliver before then. You never know, maybe I'll go into labor on my own before then! It's doubtful though.
Overall, I'm feeling pretty good. Even my pelvis doesn't hurt as much this time as in past pregnancies. On the days when I vacuum or sweep I hurt a bit more, but still it's not too bad. I have days when I'm super irritable. That's not very fun, but it's not every day so that's good. Melissa Combs is throwing me a baby shower this Saturday. It is going to be at Montana's Rib and Chop House, so that will be interesting to see how it works out. I'm getting excited to have the baby. We still have a list of names to choose from, but I think Ian is in the lead right now. The current list is: Ian, Toby, and Sawyer. Other names we considered were Graham, Finn, and Logan. I think it's so hard to settle on a name.
8 Months Pregnant
My best friends in Utah sent me a baby shower in a box! They put it all together at the October book club meeting. They even put chocolate and caramel corn in the box so I could have treats while I opened my presents. It was such a fun surprise. Jill made a quilt for this baby. It is so nice. I was super excited.
