Christmas Parties and Programs

December playgroup at our house!  Brittyn, Makenna, Lucy, Angelica, Astrid, and Leah
I was a little overwhelmed by the time this playgroup was over.  Ian was really fussy that day and I was super tired.  I regretted taking the turn of another mom who had a conflict come up.

Arrowhead Christmas singing program

Family Christmas Party at the Wells'
The kids acted out the nativity, it is always quite the crowd at Julane's!
Hudson took a turn as baby Jesus first, then Ian. Ian wasn't as cooperative and started to cry - not surprising.
We sang The Twelve Days of Christmas together with 3 or 4 people taking each part.  Sari and the Bishop had the first day and Sari was a partridge in a pear tree.
We went on a field trip for Lucy's coop that was at one of the dad's company parties.  We got to see Santa and decorate cookies!  Leah wasn't too interested in eating any of the cookies - which we discovered was because she was coming down with the stomach flu.  She gave it to Lucy who started with it Saturday during the night.  I offered to stay home from church with her, which I quickly regretted when the entire time was spent cleaning up vomit, diarrhea, or laundering the affected items.  Yuk!  Luckily, no one else came down with it!
Lucy's coop party at Erin Thomas'.  The kids acted out the Nativity, decorated sugar cone Christmas trees, and read Christmas stories.

Leah had a Christmas preschool program.  They combined both of the preschool classes so there were TONS of kids.  You couldn't really see the kids that weren't on the front row - and Leah wasn't.  Leah did know all of the songs and sang them good but they didn't have any accompaniment or microphones, so it could have been better.

Kid Quote: At our ward party they talked about Johaness Gutenberg.  When Lucy heard the name she repeated, "I know who that is, Gooey Bird!"
