First Day of School

Well, still going back in time here.  The first day of school for Sari, Kate, and Leah was August 26th.  I sent Sari and Kate on the bus the first day and drove Leah to school.  Leah's teacher is Mrs. Appel, Sari's is Mrs. Hudgins, who was new to Arrowhead this year and really young, and Kate's teacher is Mrs. Fagan.  So far so good!  I think Kate is having a better school year this year.  I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that she doesn't have a best friend in class with her distracting her.

I had a really hard time deciding where to send Lucy to preschool.  I finally settled on The Good Shepherd.  It is a little further away than Leah's preschool was and they just got a new director so I wasn't sure what to expect.  They do seem to expect a little more out of the kids than Messiah Lutheran and the teacher seems really organized.  So far I have liked it.  For the first two months Lucy has has a good friend in her class too.  Abney who is Annie and Spencer Larsen's daugher was in her class.  She just got into a 5 day a week preschool and is switching.  We are very sad about it (Lucy and I).  I'm super sad about the carpool we won't have anymore.  I did just hear about another little girl that just moved into our ward and got a spot in Lucy's preschool class so hopefully they'll want to carpool!  Lucy's first day of school was September 11th and her teacher is Mrs. Lisa and Mrs. Lottie.  Mrs. Lottie is just the assistant but is her favorite.  She is a nice grandmotherly type.  I really like her too.
