I don't know why pink eye is such an ordeal for us, but it is. As for now we are FINALLY in the clear!! I'm a little hesitant to type that, but Ian has been off of drops for 2 days and everyone else has been off of drops for 9 or 10 days. It lasted an entire 6 weeks, 5 doctor visits, and a couple hundred dollars. Kate said the other day she wished we caught a cold or the stomach flu instead of pink eye. I thought it was funny she had that observation, but it's true! Pink eye is an epidemic for us. That other stuff we seem to get over pretty quickly. Here are just a few shots of the girls after they got eye drops. I wonder how many hundreds of drops I administered. I was going to their schools every day at lunch time, washing bedding and bathrooms and surfaces like a crazy person and reminding them to not touch their eyes constantly. About two weeks ago I bought more gummy vitamins and also the fish oil gummy vitamins and have been making them all take them religiously. I don't know if that helped but it did possible coincidentally coinside with our cure. So I will be adding that to the regimine of treatment for our next go around. Hopefully we'll never get it again!
**Correction - We are not over pink eye yet. Although now it really does seem more like an allergy caused pink eye instead of bacterial. Ian and Lucy are having questionable eye symptoms, but I'm waiting before I do drops because their eyes are more watery and less goopy along with the red.
(This was two weeks ago when he did have antibiotic drops for pink eye. I hope this time it's not like this and it will just go away because it's allergy not bacterial.)
