We went to the lodge in the middle of July this summer. We were able to do a few fun things while we were there. One day we hiked to Pack Saddle Lake and jumped into the lake from a rope swing. Another day we hiked to the wind caves. Luckily we left Lucy at the lodge with Grandma for that one. Leah hiked it though, and it ended up being about six and a half miles. Leah started getting burned out on hikes after this one. She still had several to go on before summer's end though! I didn't get a picture of Sari and Kate going off the rope swing but they both jumped off it! I did as well. Scott didn't because the water was pretty shallow where you landed. When Kirk went off it, he really hurt his foot. He actually went to get it x-rayed to make sure it wasn't broken. When we were leaving Pack Saddle Lake, Ryan couldn't get his van to drive over a root he put the back tire behind. All the men were working and straining to get it out of there. Finally, Marlayne noticed the back tires weren't rolling whenever he tried to drive forward. He figured out he had left the parking break on! After he took that off, he drove out with no problem!
