Lately Sari has been reading a lot of stories to various stuffed animals and baby dolls. I'll ask her if she wants to eat lunch, go to the store, etc., but she tells me she needs to put her doll to sleep first. This entails first reading a story, then tucking the animal nicely in her bed. Before I had kids I never realized how easy it was to just hop in the car and go anywhere when I wanted. Now I have to plan at least 30 minutes ahead so we can check off Sari's imaginary 'to do' list before we go. Not to mention the diaper (Kate's contribution to the 30 minute minimum) that inevitably needs to be changed right as we were about to head out the door.
