Whirlwind of Activity

We've been quite busy the last several days. Scott's family has been in town. A rundown of our activities include:

Thursday: Played games (a little Ticket to Ride and some electronic LIFE) with Scott's sister and husband + their 2 kids at our house till late. I liked playing the electronic LIFE. We never had time to play a very long game though, so I'm probably going to end up buying it at some point to satisfy that desire.
Friday: After I got the ward newsletter all copied we went to hang out with all of Scott's visiting family at his brother's house. We went out for some Mexican food and left the 12 kids at home to fend for themselves for a while. The oldest of the bunch managed quite well. Though I found out Sari screamed for the first 15 or 20 minutes after we left because we forgot to give her a kiss. Sorry about that! We did take Kate with us. After dinner we went back and played 6 handed rook until midnight or so. When we got home I needed to make a pasta salad for our niece and nephew's baptism the next day. We got to bed around 2am I think.

Saturday: Previously mentioned baptism at 10am. It was very nice. Spent the rest of the day with family, and ended the evening at the BYU basketball game. BYU won the game. Go COUGARS!

Sunday: Church, heavenly naps for all 4 of us, then a visit to my Grandparents. My Aunt Sue and Uncle Kim were visiting from Boise. After visiting with them we came back home and Scott's brother and family came to our house for some more games. Our house sure seems a lot smaller with all those people in it. Sari loves having them all here to play though.

Monday: Scott had to work. :( I went with everyone else to the Church History Museum. There is an I Am a Child of God exhibit there that is pretty cool that the kids really liked. Then we went to the Clark Planetarium and watched a 3D IMAX movie, Sea Monsters. It was awesome. The sea monsters were constantly coming out of the screen into your face. Really good 3D effects. After that Scott met us at a restaraunt for dinner, then everyone came back to our house for games. We played Masterpiece. After playing that the other night and then again, I am really sick of it now.

Tuesday: A morning nap for Kate, a novelty as of late; grocery shopping, lunch, afternoon naps!, then we met the family for another 3D movie. This one was a dinosaur one, but not nearly as good as the Sea Monsters one. Too bad too, because Scott got to come to this one. After the movie we got pizza and came back to our place again. We played Ticket to Ride with 5 players. It seems to become a little too crowded on the board and last a little too long with that many players. It might be ok if there weren't 13 sleep deprived kids running around at the same time.

All in all it has been a really fun week. I am looking forward the the return of a normal pace again soon. I'm not sure what's happening tomorrow, but I do know Scott is going to the BYU game with his brothers and some nephews in the evening. For most of the days I didn't take my camera, hence the lack of pictures. Soon I'm getting a new cell phone, the samsung flipshot, so even if I forget my camera I'll be able to get decent pictures with that.

So there it is, everything you never wanted to know about our week. Which brings me to another topic. Scott loves to tell our friends and family about our blog. While this is logical I cringe a little every time he does. I think, are these people are actually going to read this?! I think this is part of the reason I haven't posted for a while. I mostly like to blog for myself, to keep record of things I want to remember. In thinking about this, I've also realized that I really cater to the person I'm talking to. I complain more to certain people, I act happier for certain people, I just have a separate way of communicating to different people. Now that I'm trying to make a one size fits all blog, I'm not sure how comfortable I am with it. Oh well, now I've started I guess I'll keep going. I guess I could make it password protected and tell no one the password. :) I think a few people may not like that though.

If you did make it password protective, you had better tell me. It's how I see how you are doing while I'm way over here in Israel! Sounds like you've had a fun, busy week. I'll have to try the museum when we get back to Utah. Sure miss talking to you on the phone. Hope you are good! Love ya!

Becky, so don't ask me how I found your blog, but I did (well, I was doing some blog snooping and that's how I found it, but I don't remember who's blog I found yours off of). What a cute family. I also have two girls and we just welcomed a boy into our family. My mom keeps telling me I need to hook up with you and Cami sometime, but I'm a slacker. Maybe we'll actually have a hs reunion next year. =)
