Cruise - Part I

We had three flights on the way to Florida.  This is the setting sun on one of the flights.  We arrived in Florida Saturday night late, and stayed in a hotel that night.

Scott and I enjoying lunch right after we boarded the ship!  Sunday, April 27, 2014

I felt so sick whenever we were in the dining room.  It was in the front of the ship and you could feel the rocking of the boat a little too much for me.  I wore a seasickness patch behind my ear the entire time and still felt pretty sick.  The first three days were ok and I still had a little appetite, but after that it kept getting worse.  It was so sad to be on a cruise and to have none of the food sound appetizing.  I'd take a couple bites of everything and then let Scott have what he wanted of it.  I was 11-12 weeks pregnant on this cruise and I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you are already prone to seasickness!  They even had an orange souffle one night, which I have been dying to have and I could only take a bite or two of it.  It tasted pretty good.  I'm sure I would have loved it under other circumstances.

We boarded the ship Sunday, April 27th.  The next day was a day at sea.  It was nice and relaxing.  We went for a run, ate when we felt like it, and chilled by the pool.  The next day, Tuesday, April 29th, was our first port in Cozumel, Mexico.  We rode a ferry to get to the mainland to go to the ruins at Tulum.  We barely had enough time to get a glimpse of the ruins, but it was cool.  Then we RUSHED back to make it to the ferry in time to get us back to our ship before it took off without us.  We had to run from the taxi to the ferry and barely made it in time.
