On June 18th, I had my ultrasound at 18 1/2 weeks pregnant. We of course wanted to find out the gender of our fifth baby. The ultrasound tech was going about all the important measurements, and offhandedly said something offhandedly about the baby being a boy. I stopped her, "Wait, what? Did you say it's a boy? Did you see that it was a boy?" I couldn't believe it, I was fully expecting girl. She said, "did someone tell you it was a girl?" I explained that we had 4 girls and I just expected another. Anyhow, Scott and I were pretty surprised. This baby also has a two vessel cord like Lucy did. Hopefully everything will go smoothly like it did with Lucy. I'll have to have extra ultrasounds to check his growth, and possibly some non-stress tests at the end.
We brought home a big bag of blue taffy for the girls to give them the big news!
