Ian's First Week

Bella baby photography came and took pictures of Ian while we were in the hospital.  I was too cheap this time to buy the pictures so here are a couple screen shots of two of the pictures I liked.  Ian does NOT like having his clothes off for any reason.  He doesn't cooperate well for pictures or diaper changes.  :)

We made it home just in time before the weather turned.  Monday morning we woke to snow.  The kids were excited to get out and play in it.  The temperatures were below zero several times during Ian's first week home.  The last week I was pregnant the temperatures were still in the 60's some days!  Talk about a quick change.

I took these pictures after bringing Ian home from trying to get his pictures taken at Erin's house.  She offered to take some pictures of Ian.  She is just starting to try to take newborns' pictures.  Of course, she was wanting newborn naked baby shots, and of course Ian doesn't enjoy that at all.  This was the second day I took him to her house.  I haven't seen the pictures yet, hopefully some turned out cute.  He was wide eyed in most of the shots.  I don't know if she got any where it looked like he was sleeping.  When I got home he was sound asleep and he let me move him around easily - I did leave his clothes on though.

I'm glad I remembered to get some pictures of Grandma Pack with the kids.  She was a lifesaver.  She was able to stay with the kids while we were in the hospital.  It was really nice having Scott there with me.  Since we've been home he's been working 12-15 hour days.  A lot of the time he was working from a card table in the living room, but he's still been working.  I don't know what I would have done without my mom.  She was able to stay from the 6th to the 16th.  She left yesterday afternoon.  She was able to get a lot of random organizing around the house done, keep our laundry done, dishes, grocery shopping, cooking, making and buying us treats, errands, running kids around, getting kids to bed, and spoiling us all around.  She took the kids to the movies one day and braved the cold weather with us all week.  I'm jealous she got to go to slightly warmer temperatures.  Hopefully we'll warm up a little here.  Sari and Leah had a dance performance on Saturday at the Holiday Food and Gift Festival at the Metra.  I was able to go with the kids and my mom and Scott stayed with Ian.  We love grandma!

Our fun little Lucy!  The Viets gave each of our girls a gift along with Ian.  They gave one of them these silly glasses.
