July Random

We spend a lot of time swimming this summer.  At neighbor's pools, Lake Elmo, and public pools.  This is Lucy at lake Elmo.

 We read Tears in the Darkness: The Story of the Bataan Death March and Its Aftermath.  The protagonist in the book, Ben Steele, is still living and at a nursing home in Billings.  We went to visit him.  He was such a positive man and it was great to visit with him.  The new Middle School that our kids are going to be attending is going to be named after him.

Grandma and Grandpa Pack got Lucy a big pool for her birthday!  Despite my anxiety about it, it turned out to be a lot of fun.  It was big enough for the kids to really swim around in, which they loved.
