On the last day we spent time on the east side of the park. I can't remember now if it was upper or lower falls that we hiked down to view. We had about a million stairs to climb down in order to get the great view. I was surprised how well all the kids did going back up all those stairs! I don't think I heard any whining from any of them.
We saw lots of bison everywhere we went. This one nearly stuck his head in Lisa and Alan's van.
Leah lost her first tooth while we were on our trip. She let Kate pull it out. She must have been pretty excited to lose that first tooth because it wasn't nearly so dramatic as her second. Leah actually lost her second tooth this morning. She missed the bus because she was being so dramatic about it. It has been SUPER loose for a week now, but she wouldn't let anyone touch it. This morning while she was eating oatmeal she accidentally bit on it with her top teeth and jarred it even looser. I practically had to hold her down to get it out of her mouth. It was barely hanging on, I was afraid she'd swallow it at school today if I didn't get it out. Not to mention she has barely been eating anything for days because it was hurting her.
We played at Yellowstone Lake. It is HUGE! Leah was in heaven collecting rocks. She wants us to take her to the ocean so much to collect sea shells.
On our way back to the vacation rental we also stopped at The Boiling River. There are some hot springs that go into the Gardner river where you can swim. It was really neat and nice and warm!
