This was our last hurrah of the summer. After the kids got out of school Friday we headed to the Madison River. We went with the Combs, Ekmans, Southwicks, and Christensen's. We set up camp, ate dinner, and told stories around the campfire on Friday night. Saturday morning after breakfast we floated down the river once. Then we ate lunch and floated the river again. It was fun to finally float down the river. Whenever we drive to Utah in the summer we see people floating it and it always looked so fun. It is a ton of work to pack all the camping and tubing stuff and then to clean it up after we get home but it was fun. We got back home late Saturday night so it was just a quick little trip! I was glad we didn't stay another night though, because Ian kept me awake half the night tossing and turning on top of me. He didn't stay in the pack n' play for very long. I think we'll do it again next year and hopefully Ian will be a better sleeper then and we'll stay two nights.
Sari with Katie and Sage.
