School started Thursday, August 25th this year. I was actually more ready for school to begin this year than I was last year. We played really hard this summer and fit a lot in. I got way behind on all the household things, so I was ready to have a chunk of day when I didn't have 5 kids and friends in and out of the house all day or going on fun outings constantly. Lucy was very excited for her first day and she has liked Kindergarten so far! She has actually done really well adjusting to all day Kindergarten. She comes home happy and doesn't seem to fall apart emotionally in the evening at home after school like some of her sisters did in Kindergarten. Her teacher is Mrs. Payton.
Leah still doesn't like getting up in the morning for school. She says she hates school when she wakes up, but when she gets off the bus in the afternoon she tell me, "school was awesome!" Her teacher is Mrs. Pinter this year. Sari had her for first grade too.
Kate's teacher is Mrs. Cunningham. It is only her second year of teaching which made me nervous at first but so far I've really liked her. Kate really likes her too.
Sari is in Mrs. Eagle's class. She was lucky enough to have Amelia in her class again too. She was happy about that. This is her last year in Elementary school. Next year she goes to the new Middle School.
