San Francisco Trip - Day 3 Tide Pool/Dinner and Day 4

We went to a tide pool on our way back to the rental.  I think it was the tide pool at the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve.  This was also a big highlight for me.  I had never been to a tide pool before.  It was so fun to see all the sea life!  Leah would LOVE it.  I need to get her to one sometime soon.  We had to wait a while because the tide wasn't low enough to see anything when we first got there.  We left before low tide so we didn't see any starfish but I will definitely plan this in my next trip to California.

Day 4 - Last Day
Our last day, we went to Alcatrez in the morning.  It was interesting to see.  We took the self-guided audio tour.  Afterwards we had time to go to lunch at a yummy burger place.  We looked through some shops around after that.  I found these really cute wooden music boxes.  I bought a couple of them.  They had some really big intricate ones I was temped to buy too, but didn't.  Then we had to catch our flight home.  It was a great trip!  It was a little hard to adjust back to real life with lots of demanding little people all around me.  Ian was super clingy and it took a good two weeks to get him to stop protesting naps and bedtime violently.  Now he's back to himself and going to bed willingly.  I guess that's just the price we pay for a little break!

Alan sketched out a summary of our trip that I liked:
