Halloween Festivities

I took the kids to Arrowhead's Family Halloween night.  We brought along our Olsen friends for the fun!  I actually don't mind these school events.  I think they're great fun as long as I don't have a baby/toddler to haul around too.  Scott stayed home with Ian and got some extra work done while we were there.

On Saturday before Halloween, we had our primary program practice, a pizza party, and then a trunk-or-treat.  That is a lot to pack into one day but it worked out.  The kids sure got a load of candy this year.

Ian didn't entirely get the trick-or-treat concept down.  He got mad if they put the candy into his bucket instead of his hand and he always tried to get more than one and I'd have to pull him away crying to go to the next trunk to repeat the process again.  I got tired of that pretty quick, so he didn't get too much candy.  He's allergic to half of it anyway so it worked out fine.  I think it's going to be really tricky the next few years when he'll want all the candy but he'll still be too young to understand his allergies.  Fun times ahead!
