I have been so impressed with how well Kate has been doing in school this year. She has been working hard at staying organized and getting all her work done. She has been learning all her math concepts really well and her reading Lexile level has soared. Sometimes she gets overwhelmed when she feels like she has too many things to get done, but we'll just have to work on that. Lately, she likes to practice the piano either early in the morning or right before bed so she has it done before she gets home from school.
Kate was lucky to get checked out of school for Sharon's birthday. Melissa checked them both out early to go to lunch, get manicures, and do a little shopping. Kate loves anytime she gets to spend with Sharon. She is excited they'll be in the same school next year. On one of the days we had a school break we took the kids to Get Air. It was super fun. I wished I had bought myself a pass. Kate and Sari are also playing basketball right now. They are both pretty good little players. Their team has done really well and they both score quite a few points every game. They switch off which one of them scores more points in any one game.
As always, Kate is still a huge help with Ian and he loves her to death. She's the first to volunteer to do anything for him although he does have all of his sisters wrapped around his little finger. It is very nice to have both Sari and Kate that are able to help each other babysit when Scott and I go out.
This is a selfie that Scott took. He and Kate went to get their hair cut together. I told him he should've put Kate in the picture too, and he said he didn't think about it because he is an inexperienced selfie taker. Ha.
