Independence Day 2017

We went to our ward breakfast the morning of the 4th.  It had been a REALLY hot couple of weeks and we decided to go to the new Cars movie to beat the heat in the afternoon.  The movie was really cute, especially considering it's the 3rd Cars movie.  We took it easy at home for a little while after that and then headed to Castle Rock park in the Heights for their big 4th of July celebration.  The Harvest church hosts it and uses it for a fundraiser and they had lots of fun activities for the kids and really affordable concessions.  We got there right before dark and then watched the fireworks.  Some of the kids were a little feisty (the older kids) so that wasn't great, but the fireworks were great.  The second hand smoke wasn't so fabulous either.  I guess we'll have to see if we try that again or not.
