It seems like the Halloween season was longer this year. It started off with being 'booed' two times so we had plenty of opportunities to make Halloween treats and to sneakily give them away. We also had lots of school parties, playgroup parties, boo at the zoo, trunk or treating, carving pumpkins, and of course the actual night of trick or treating.

Boo at the Zoo the Saturday before Halloween. The weather was BEAUTIFUL and so were the fall colors at the zoo. |

Trunk or Treating Saturday night. There was also a chili cook off and line dancing. |

Do you think this picture is out of place? This is what our backyard looked like two days after boo at the zoo and trunk or treating. Crazy!! |

Luckily, it got just warm enough to melt most of the snow off before Halloween. It still was pretty chilly though - notice the coats and gloves. Kate took her coat off for the picture. |
The kids got SO much candy this year and as usual, Kate's is almost gone already. I'll put the other kids candy away in a few days when they've mostly forgotten about it and get a little out at a time when I think they need a treat. If you look closely at the pictures, you'll notice Lucy had several wardrobe changes. They are only that little for a short time so we made good use of our costumes that size. She was tinkerbell, a butterfly, and an elephant this year. Sari was either Princess Tianna or a fairy depending on her mood(same costume with or without wings), Leah was a butterfly, and Kate was candycorn.
