At the beginning of December we were able to enjoy some unseasonably cold temperatures. It happened to coincide with several of Scott's Christmas Chorus performances. We ventured out this night to go to his performance at The Festival of Trees and the Yellowstone Art museum while enjoying 21 below zero. Scott spent his Monday evenings starting in October practicing with the Chorus.
The month was also filled with letters and pictures for Santa that could not be thrown away! As soon as I download my latest pictures, I'll have a cute letter to Santa from Kate to post. This picture was from Sari.Lucy got this snowman decoration from her Grandma Worthington, but she treats it like a doll. She carries it all over.
Our ward party was great. The dinner was yummy, and after the ward put on a Forgotten Carols program. Scott was in it and it took several long rehearsals, but it turned out really good.
Leah's preschool Christmas party was at our house. I was glad to get that over with. The hide under the big present game was a success.
Sari and Kate both sang three songs in their school's Christmas program. Sari's good friend Lydia is standing next to her in the red. I remember really loving when I got to stand by a friend for school programs.
Leah had a preschool field trip to see Santa. They got to pick a little toy from under the tree and got pizza, hot chocolate, and cookies. It was for one of the kid's in her preschool class dad's work party/community service. I thought it was pretty neat, and a little claustrophobic. Lucy made sure to keep an arms length from Santa. :)
