The Weekend Kate Had Her Ears Pierced

Kate got her ears pierced last weekend on Saturday.  It was the second time.  The first was when Sari got her pierced and Kate was only 4.  Unfortunately, the night after she got them pierced she and Sari collided and Kate's earring got pulled out by Sari's shirt.  It was pretty traumatic and took about 2 years for Kate to want her ears pierced again.  This time she did great.  She didn't even flinch when the girls at Claire's pierced them.  We decided to go somewhere better than Walmart this time.  I wouldn't recommend Walmart.  I don't know what we were thinking the first time.

Kate's earrings!  She chose little tanzanite colored sparkly spheres.  She loves to read before going to sleep every night.  I'm happy my girls love to read.

 Another special thing about the weekend is that Grandma was here visiting!  She got a ride with Greg's parents.  They came on Thursday and left Monday morning.  We love having grandma here.  Friday we went to Arrowhead to eat lunch with Sari and Kate.  Saturday morning I had a Norwex party.  Norwex are environmentally friendly cleaning tools/products.  I love their rags especially.  The party turned out pretty well and I got a decent amount of free product from hosting the party.  On Saturday after the ear piercing we went to Frozen for the second time.  These girls are obsessed, especially Kate and Leah.  You can hear them anytime during the day singing one of the songs.  Even Lucy has started singing them in her bed at night when she is going to sleep.  We went to The Pizza Ranch after the movie.  That is their absolute favorite restaurant right now.
