Oahu - Day 6

January 25th, Thursday - We slept in a little bit this morning and then went for a run on the beach trail.  When we got to the whale house we made a yummy breakfast, scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa, grapefruit, papaya and pineapple in coconut yogurt and guava juice.  Then we headed to Waimea Valley Botanical Garden.  We took a tour with David, who is the head botanist there.  He was very knowledgeable and showed us lots of cool things about the plants.  We walked the rest of the way to the waterfall after that but decided not to swim in it.  We walked around lots of the different paths around the gardens and then went to the farmers market there.  We ate a little food there then went to Giovanni's Shrimp truck for some shrimp but we were $1 short and they would only take cash.  We drove a few places trying to get cash back but didn't find anywhere.  We went back to the shrimp shack and I asked another customer for $1 and we were able to get some food!  We went to Matsumoto shaved Ice for a treat after and we got it with ice cream and sweetened condensed milk.  Yum!!!  We went to Waimea Bay beach after and watched people jumping off a big boulder into the ocean and went for a little walk along the beach.  For dinner that night we bought a salad at the grocery store and ate that at the whale house and got ready for another early morning the next day.
